Colors of the Month: Yellow, Rust and Nude - Oh My!

3 minute read

Back by popular demand, we're returning with another post for Colors of the Month to match your headband!

And this week, we're tackling the ones they said we were crazy to do... They said it couldn't be done, they said we should be stopped. But we'll can't stop obsessing over out-of-the-norm color schemes, even ones that might seem downright scary at first or a pattern you wouldn't choose. Here's a few of our favorite headbands and their color match to help you put your own look together. Who knows, you might be surprised how well they could work in your collection!

MUSTARD YELLOW

While most consider this a fall color, darker yellows have seriously been hitting the summer scene. You could let your sunshine stand out by pairing this color with a rust neutral, or make a splash with an ocean teal shade that will give the most unique beachy vibes!

BURNT SIENNA

Rust is one of a kind: it's both a color AND a neutral! And it's universally flattering. We think every woman in 2022 should have something of this shade in their wardrobe. To go along with this natural print, a light sage would smash with this white and rust combo, or bring a pop of gemstone color with a light shade of lilac.

KYNDAL ON LIGHT SAGE

Floral prints don't have to be child-like. This sage green is all grown up, and the subtle white pattern adds a touch of romanticism. To compliment this sweet summery look, go with a lightly soft rose color alongside it. Throw on some easy silver grey for the perfect neutral.

BLUSHIN' LEOPARD

Nudes and blushes are all the rage, but maybe you're a little intimidated by this subdued shade in your accessories. No problem - the detail is where it's at for this best selling headband! Since blush is in the pink family, a light beige would look timeless in this classic color combo. But if you wanted the color match to end all color matches, an emerald green will make you stand out like the leopard queen you are.

PICK ME LEOPARD

Okay, okay, we know what you're thinking... Black and white, really? But think about it: you secretly love polka dot, but don't look like your Great Aunt Margaret in her giant print. This is a wild take on a classic design with an imperfect, smaller pattern that's made to draw the eyes, not burn them. Black and white always go well in monochromatic looks like different shades of black and grey, or you could mix it up with a bright blue or gold!
