5 MORE Work from Home Looks for 2022

3 minute read

If you have to (or get to) work from home, it can be hard to distinguish office attire from bedtime jammies. But not to worry - we've got ideas that will keep you cozy and Zoom meeting-ready all at the same time!

To follow up with our original post of 5 Work from Home Looks for 2021, we here at Lilac Market now have more remote workers than ever who have tried and tested the home office attire! So of course, we need to keep our look fresh for those early morning video meetings and get our heads in the design space and off the couch. So here's 5 more work from home outfit ideas that keep things pleasant and professional.

1. Denim. Still feels pretty casual, doesn't it? But when the bar is set to pajamas, everything becomes "dressy". Putting on even your oldest, comfiest pair of jeans may not get you fully into the work zone, but at least get you out of the Saturday morning cartoons mindset.

2. The White Tee. Along the same lines as the black PJ's, a comfortable, flattering white tee shirt is something everyone should have in their closet. It goes with literally everything (go ahead, try and fight us on it), you can throw a cardigan or a shacket over it, and science says it lights up your face. Perfect for those early morning video meetings. Stick with the white tee, friends, and you'll go far.

3. Faux leather leggings. Another piece that can be paired with anything, faux leather leggings are a grown-up step away from normal sportswear. Simple, stretchy, and straight up crushing the game, you can actually go from daytime home office to nighttime home party in these bad boys without sacrificing comfort.

4. Play dress up. Don't let anyone shame you for sticking with your in-office professional work attire in the comfort of your home - go on with your cute self! If you want to mix it up, instead of the pencil skirt and heels combo, try taking a casual t-shirt dress, paired with an affordable bootie. Work never felt so playful!

5. Little Black Pajamas. If you just can't give up the solace of working in your jam-jam's, go with the universally flattering black set that looks classically chic while still feeling cozy. Monochromatic is back with a vengeance, so keeping it in a dark neutral like black is better than ever (and will go with your brand new black headband you ordered after reading last week's blog post). Step into some brightly colored mule flats and you'll feel like you're in bed when you're really in business.
