Ways to Give Back with Lilac Market Headbands

4 minute read

Here at Lilac Market Headbands, finding ways to give back is a key part of our business model. Community is everything, and helping those in need helps keep us all stronger together.

When you're shopping for a product you love, it's always good to know that not only can you find functional and reliable accessories that help your daily life, but that also give back to causes that are important to you. We believe everyone can play a role in revesting in their chosen community, from finding cures to cancer to helping overwhelmed mothers find peace in their homes. Our passion is only outweighed by our gratitude to be able to serve in the ways that we can, while providing an opportunity for us to join in the giving back together.

Here are the many ways that you can give back when you shop Lilac Market:

ST. JUDE RUNS

St. Jude Runs is an annual charity event for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Starting as a 465-mile journey from Memphis, TN to Peoria, IL, this race is now famously known as "the main run" and spurred many satellite runs across the country. Today, Lilac Market is an affiliate with St. Jude Runs and provides headbands where 50% of proceeds go to St. Jude Runs. The race from Memphis to Peoria is this Saturday, August 6th, so you can still show your support of the fight against childhood cancer by ordering today!

PALTOWN

When our friend Dr. Meagan Powers was unexpectedly diagnosed with stage IV colorectal cancer, she wasn't sure where to turn. Then she was introduced to PALTOWN, an online community of patients and caretakers that help support, educate and connect those that are fighting on the front lines of colon and cancer. During Colorectal Cancer Awareness month, we released her special "I Will Not Be Shaken" collection, where you helped raise nearly $4,000 of charitable donations for every headband bought. Our "Powers Within" design continues to donate to the MD Anderson Cancer Center. Now that's a way to give back.

HOT MESS EXPRESS

Do you feel like you just keep playing catch up while trying to make sure everyone is surviving and the house doesn't burn to the ground? All mothers have been there at least once. That's why TikTok star Jen Hamilton founded The Hot Mess Express group. Led by Moms, for Moms, this troop of strong women helps those who feel overwhelmed get the helping hand they need, from cleaning a home to providing much needed travel assistance to offering a safe time to be pampered and cared for. It takes a village, ladies, and these Chaos Coordinators know how to do just that. From your purchases, the Hot Mess Express crew has been able to fund multiple rescue missions in the last year!

CUSTOM HEADBANDS FOR YOUR ORGANIZATION

Not only have we made special collections for donation in our store, we've also been able to aid individual groups with their fundraising needs by providing a unique product that can drive more money to where it matters. It can be difficult and costly to find that out-of-the-box item that will make your charity or event stand out. Custom headbands that are actually functional and fun to wear are the perfect idea for your next event.
