7 Super Bowl Party Ideas that are an Easy Win

7 Super Bowl Party Ideas that are an Easy Win

4 minute read

Are you pumped about your favorite football team playing in the upcoming Super Bowl, or just love the chance to gather and debate commercials while enjoying comfort food?

Either way, this quick and easy checklist will make your Super Bowl party the gathering of the season (even if you’re super short on time, energy, and ideas). Let's go over the play!

1. Choose your Menu. Start with the most time-consuming task first: the food! But even this daunting task doesn’t have to make you pull your hair out. Keep things simple by having your groceries delivered and stick to cooking in one pan, like a baking sheet or crock pot. Our favorite options are the Buffalo Chicken Chili from MyBizzyKitchen or Bell Pepper Nachos (just cut bell peppers into wedge-shapes and top with fresh ingredients for an easy twist on this traditional crowd-pleaser!).

2. Decorate. It’s time to bring out that bobble-head, coffee mug, and matching throw-blanket and pillow with your team’s logo that you’ve been hiding whenever company comes over. Want an easy craft the kids can do? Make a DIY football banner that can greet guests with simple craft paper, jute twine, chalk and a hole punch. Hang them across your doorways for a cute touch.

3. Meet up virtually. Long distance? No problem! It’s easier than ever to interact with each other online. So set up your station near the TV, make sure you have your tea jersey ready to rock. And remember those decorations we just talked about? You can use those as a fun backdrop, or pick a digital background to spice up the party. And the best part: if your team isn’t doing so hot, peacing-out gracefully for the night is as easy as clicking a button.

4. Rep your team. Fly your colors proudly, and in unique ways! Here at Lilac Market, we bleed red and yellow for our beloved Kansas City Chiefs in the Chiefs Kingdom Collection, but it doesn’t stop there: you can rep your own fan favorites using our Custom Headband Designer! Choose everything from the exact team colors, your favorite player quotes or your own competitive creed, the style and more, and you’ll be ready to rock on game day. No one will question your loyalty! And if you're struggling to touchdown on design, check out this Custom Headband Inspiration blog post for more ideas on the perfect design for you.

5. Stay hydrated. You may not be playing on the field, but you don’t want anyone to get thirsty in the fourth quarter. Keep a large supply of beverages on hand, whether it’s family-friendly soft drinks or adult sippers. A homemade punch in the color of your team adds a touch of fun. No room in the fridge for more drinks? Take a note from the college players and fill your bathtub with ice to save space and melted mess.

6. Games. You don’t have to just watch! Keep your crew engaged with easy games to play throughout the day. Check in with the crowd by rating the commercials, voting on who will win at the end of the game. Cornhole (or is it bean toss?) is an indoor-friendly game that’s great for all ages. Or print your own Super Bowl Bingo cards, with a sweet prize at the end.

7. Sporty hair style. We all know that keeping your hair out of your way on the field and in the kitchen is crucial to win the day. A typical ponytail can work, but if you want to spice it up, we recommend a Low and Loopty look from our 6 Ways to Style Your Hair with a Headband post (or any of the other adorable and easy hairstyles in the blog!).
